Drive Camp, Why Attend ?

Today's technicians are expected to maintain increasingly sophisticated Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) systems with minimal downtime and limited manufacturer support. These seminars bridge the gap between theory and practical troubleshooting through hands-on fault isolation, component identification and analysis, including tear-down and repair back to a field ready running drive.

Participants will use industry-standard test equipment to diagnose and isolate real-world failure scenarios. Students will learn how to safely troubleshoot VFD systems, identify faults, and bench test critical components including IGBTs, DC bus rectifiers, gated thyristors (SCRs), capacitor banks, and auxiliary power supplies.

Through direct interaction with failed and functioning components, participants make repairs while gaining valuable insight into how VFD systems operate, why components fail, and how to develop a systematic troubleshooting approach that reduces downtime and avoids costly mistakes.

Our mission is to shorten the learning curve by sharing decades of real-world field experience, helping technicians become safer, more confident, and more effective when working with VFD systems.
